Introduction ▄
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
This is a PowerFull oneliner door program that was designed
for most bbs types.
The special thing about it is that the sysop can design
himself his own screen by using regular ansis!
Easy for use, has kewl animation and very kewl options!
Note: Supports hebrew too, but this option can be disabled.
Files Included ▄
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
Below is a listing of all files for PowerLiner. If you are
missing ANY of these files (except for the DOC and ANS files), the
door will NOT function. Feel free to give out copies of the ENTIRE
archive package of the PowerLiner but please make sure all the files
below are in that package:
ANSI.DOC - A short doc that explains how to make ansis for pliner.
MUSIC.ZIP - Collection of ANSI MUSIC files.
ANSEE1.ZIP - Collection #1 of ansi screens for pliner
ANSEE2.ZIP - Collection #2 of ansi screens for pliner
ANSEE3.ZIP - Collection #3 of ansi screens for pliner
SAMPLE1.BAT - A sample BAT file which runs the pliner
from the program's directory.
SAMPLE2.BAT - A sample BAT file which runs the pliner
from any node directory.
FILE_ID.DIZ - Ascii Description File for BBS Sysops on PowerLiner
PLINER.DOC - This text file you are reading
PLINER.EXE - PowerLiner Main Program.
WHATSNEW.300 - What is New at this Version? what did i do this time?!?
Installation▄
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
1. Create a directory for the pliner, or put it in your
main BBS directory:
example: "RA\PLINER"
2. Make sure that ALL files listed above from the pliner package
are moved into that directory.
3. Edit the file "PLINER.CFG":
First edit the 4 first lines, Without changing their positions!!!!
Line #1 - The name of the BBS
Line #2 - Sysop's full name
Line #3 - drop file type ("door.sys" / "dorinfo.def")
Line #4 - The locked baud rate. If none, then set this to 0.
After these 4 first lines, edit the rest of the file.
4. In order to run the pliner program online the following
parameters may be used.
/L - This tells PLINER.EXE to load up in LOCAL mode.
/N# - # is the node number, ex. door.exe /N1
/B# - Sets the locked baud rate to #, ex. door.exe /B57600
/D? - The path to where the Drop file may be found,
ex. pliner.exe /Dc:\bbs
5. Install the door into your BBS software (see your BBS
software documentation for more information). A batch file is
normally used to do this. To run the program just have your
batch file change to the DOORDIR directory and run pliner, exe -
Thats all there is to it! Three different batch files sample
are included to help you run the pliner. These are included with
the pliner for editing and your use. Remember when writing the
batch routines for my door you must ensure that the pliner is
run from it's home directory AND that the pliner knows where to
find the drop file. Satisfy these two requirements and you
should have no problems running the pliner as long as the other
setup criteria has been met. For dorinfo systems try using the
following:
Sample Batch File ▄
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
COPY DORINFOx.DEF \RA\PLINER
CD \RA\PLINER
PLINER /Nx <-=- NODE number !!DO NOT USE "x"!!
del dorinfox.def
CD \RA
--> Please note that you replace the "x" with the appropriate
node number. Ex: Dorinfo1.def ; Dorinfo2.def ; etc...
How to create new screens?▄
▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
To create new ansi screens for the Pliner, just use
one of the ansi draw programs (Thedraw, Acidraw).
Where ever you want it to put the oneliners, write '@'
then 'points' until where you want the oneliner to end,
there put another '@'.
For example, Lets say that this is an ansi screen:
──────-─-───-───────-──────────-──────────────- 1
█ PowerLiner By Sagi Zvi █ 2
█ ▒ ▒ █ 3
▒▒ ▒▒ 4
@......................................@ 5
@....................................@ 6
@..................................@ 7
@................................@ 8
@.............................@ 9
──────-─-───-───────-──────────-──────────────- 10
Part of lines 5-9 will be used as a place
where the oneliners will be writeen.
Colors: You can change the colors of all of the '@' and '.'
Save the ansi normaly, as you save any other ansis.
NOTE -> DONT USE ANIMATION! it will NOT work.
